Reshaping an art school

A practitioners’ art school Hampstead School of Art sits in the creative heart of Hampstead London. Designed by architects Allies and Morrison the school is purpose built for studio-based learning and is dedicated to providing art for everyone.

The project. We were tasked with developing a bold new visual identity and website for the school, repositioning them as a more dynamic and accessible contemporary art space and help connect HSoA to a wider audience.

The school buildings unique shape helped define the foundation for the identity with a logo designed to reflect both the angled roofline and symbolise the epicentre of a thriving creative hub. Our aim was to create an adaptable and ownable symbol that would become the cornerstone for the identity helping define and elevate the school brand.

Custom built with ecommerce functionality, the website was designed to promote the school as an alternative way to access and enjoy contemporary fine art to a London-wide audience, whilst ensuring simplicity of administration.
