Hampstead School of Art
Founded in 1946 under the patronage of Sir Henry Moore, Hampstead School of Art is a practitioners’ art school teaching essential practical skills that form the foundation of a career in the visual arts. Purpose built for studio-based learning and designed by architects Allies and Morrison, the new HSoA building is the creative heart of Hampstead’s Kidderpore Green development.
Custom built with ecommerce functionality, the site was designed and developed to promote the school as an alternative way to access and enjoy contemporary fine art to a London-wide audience, whilst ensuring simplicity of administration and usability.
The HSoA logo visually depicts the school’s signature front elevation and reflects the fostering of individual uniqueness and collective community. It has been created as a defining, ownable and recognisable symbol for the school.
We shot a selection of images documenting the school’s architecture, processes and community.
